Scripts & Extras

When you download Growl, you will see there are two folders apart from the installer: "Scripts" and "Extras".
These allow you to expand the capabilities of certain applications to work with Growl.

Extras

• GrowlTunes shows iTunes track information and artwork.
• GrowlMail displays information about incomming mails.
• GrowlSafari displays information on downloads
• GrowlDict uses the services menu to find the definition of a word. (no longer supported!)
• growlnotify is a comand-line utility to display notifications.
• macyac (no longer supported!)
• HardwareGrowler tells you when new hardware is (dis-)connected.
• Growlctl

Scripts

• Folder Actions can warn you on specific events.
• iCal will display warnings for todays events.
• iPod Checker syncs your iPod with iTunes
• irssi
• Salling Clicker
• Snak

For all you AppleScripters, Growl has basic AppleScript support.
